Project: Beaver Builder Hover Box Plugin

Summary

On other commercial websites the client had seen boxes that would open and display their contents when the mouse hovered over. We nicknamed these as “Hover Boxes”. To easily add a Hover Box in WordPress the client asked for a Beaver Builder Hover Box plugin with the ability to add photos, text and images to the boxes using the BB tools.

Challenges

This project began as a custom development but quickly gained the feeling of a product development. After a quick initial delivery the client started testing by adding WordPress short-codes to the outside and inside of the box. There are so many short-codes that the delivery had to be restricted to a defined list.

Length

The project was complete in 4 weeks elapsed including design, development, testing and deployment.
